The Detroit Chapter of RIMS has a proud history. The Detroit chapter traces its roots back to the very beginning of RIMS in 1950. The first President of the Chapter was J.J Newman of Woodall Industries. In 1964 the second annual National Conference was held in Detroit.
Two National RIMS President's have come from the Detroit chapter - Ron Stasch and Lou Drapeau.
